Saved me a BUNCH of money having for pay a doc for such. The last foot boot I had from the doc fit one foot only, was much less well made and came with a $800.00 price tag on the medical bill-for a BOOT?!?!.Its comfortable while sitting up to a certain point (I don’t want to spend hours in it for reasons I shall get to) and I do not feel the fracture at all. But since my ankle is not injured I go a little crazy not being able to move it. Having HAD this ankle on same leg broken twice I can say I WISH I would have had THIS boot and not the doc office one! And I can now walk with a broken foot as well. (Big toe bone, underside the fat part, so quite painful and with that sort of fracture you want to tilt your foot to your side so MUCH stress on the ankle or to the heel, which can get VERY painful in a short time frame.I am not sure if this is a pro or a con, could be either, but the sole is convex, meaning its got the shape of a small round bottom boat. This ultimately puts your center of gravity in the center of the outside bottom sole, much like the old timey cast knobs use to. (yup Im dating myself here) So you can or could rock forward, putting pressure on the front part of your foot, or the heel. When walking on tile floors I find it ify and a little scary, but I have not slipped, but it is a strange sensation to get used to, the rocking and twisting on that center point of gravity on the bottom of the convex. Overall I find it supportive enough, but still ify when I walk due to that sensation. I do better on pavement than indoors.Cons: IT’S TOO HEAVY. Dear GAWD I feel like I have a concrete block tied to my leg, and with a broken foot having to lift this weight when I walk with the force being on the TOP of my foot each step, don’t think that’s the best, its VERY CLUNKY and for me anyhow, there is no adapting to it. So when NOT having to walk, I opt to get out of this boot and into some creatively duct taped with foam super soft slippers and socks with bandage support. The top (above the ankle) velcro band is a joke. It comes off COMPLETELY and you have to line it up every time which is hard to see as its black on black. Does it go this way, no that way, opts it stuck to one side of the boot and not the other, prepare for 5-10 min of having to deal with THAT every time. They EASILY could have added a loop holder for it or just make the band a different color. Like PINK or BLUE or same band pink on one size blue on the other and matching where to stick it parts THAT YOU CAN SEE on the boot as well (Yup I just copyrighted and patented that.), Im injured, I’m trying to feel good and MOVE and I don’t care what COLOR the thing is if I can use it efficiently to move without much pain. CHEAP on their part to not address this. Do you plan to DRIVE with this on. NO, you cannot!!! DO NOT. But it offers a LOT of protection. I ordered the medium, I am a true 9 1/2 but often wear a 10 when things run small. I’m not really a wide but not narrow either and I have one of those extra long middle toes and a bone that sticks out the side of my foot (born that way). That being said the Medium is perfect. There is probably at least an inch of bumper room in front of my toes so not hitting or snagging them on anything, as that would send me into punching someone and then sobbing all the way to the hospital due to pain. So I am happy for that protection. The inner cuff, glove/foot sleeve whatever you want to call it is comfortable enough but a LITTLE more padding please on the BOTTOM of the foot. I had HOPED the air thing feature would inflate the ENTIRE foot sleave. It does not. It only fills an area on either side of the ankle. SO had I had a broken or sprained ankle this would be GREAT. It felt great and supportive though I do not need that support in that area so I wear it with no air. Though letting the air back out can be tough, you have to keep twisting the knob, but still better than having to go find some tool to stick in it like some other boots. Please make one that puts air around the FOOT for those of us with FOOT breaks and sprains and tendon troubles. As for the wrap around the foot area, despite my sizing that is lacking, with anything more than a sock you cannot velco the foot sleeve closed and have to depend on the velcro from the boot shell to close it for you, yet the ankle calf part is a little too generous. Many with wounds, etc. need that extra space for wraps bandages etc. It came with 3 extra about 4 by 2 foam pieces, the same material as a sleeve. Not really sure what they are for, unless a certain area is rubbing you. There is no velcro on them so not like you can use as an extender or anything, though I have put under the bottom of my foot and they have helped. Then I opted to just cut up a foam mattress egg crate thing and line the boot with that UNDER the sleeve, that works great. Best advice, MAKE SURE your heel is tucked all the way BACK in the boot, even if you have to tap it on the ground for best fit and then readjust your strapping. The HEIGHT different with the other leg is INSANE no matter what I wear on the good foot. So this has led to hip pain on the bad foot side. THEY should just flat offer some adjuster you can slip onto your good foot shoe as part of the deal. AND, AND its loud. So no being sneaky with this on, when you have to go wee at 3 am, the dogs will bark, your partner or roomies will be awakened etc. Step, CLUNK, step CLUNK, at least on tile or payment. Have NOT tried on carpet. I will say this too as someone might find it helpful, I got in a pinch the other night where I HAD to drive,(Panicked as this is my driving foot and ANY PRESSURE hurts) long story but there was not an UBER to be had. So, I put on a sock, then a really nice fleece inner slipper bootie (soft and cozy from home shopping) then just the inner sleeve of this boot and a light ace wrap around the foot part of that with that loose velcro strap it came with also around the foot part. It kept my foot stable enough to make it outside, into my car and still be able to SAFELY feel the peddle and brake. (So the outer shell was not used). So take my review as you see fit, this is how its working for me. My main pet peeves are that UPPER STRAP (when I gotta get up and potty in the wee hours and the ONLY way I can get to the bathroom is to put on a walking boot I dont want to spend 8 min F88ing around with a STRAP! I GOTTA GOOOO NOWWWW! lol ) and the WEIGHT and the way it throws your hips way outta alignment leading to all new pains. Now if you are on crutches fully you might not notice the MAN this is wrecking my hips, but if you are weight bearing, its horrible. On Crutches, NON weight bearing this would be HEAVY to carry around. Still, despite my problems with this, its still a very well made boot, I find my foot protected (though a optional top foot shell would be nice for those of us with dogs and paws that love to step RIGHT where that fracture is) and if IF it was an ankle issue the inflatable sides are nice, but stinks that they could make one for the FOOT. And TOO NARROW in the foot area to support or surround it WITHOUT anything more than a thin sock (and I DO NOT HAVE FAT FEET). Gimme an extension or SOMETHING besides having to depend on that outer veclro strap. Still tho, overall, Im happy I bought it, even though I was so deperate I got stuck with an extra $7.00 for 1 day shipping. OUCH! But it came as needed and fast! Just needs some improvements. If anything changes with it in my healing process I will come back and update. I wish EVERYONE a speedy healing!!!

This is nearly exactly what I got from my doctors office but for half the price. I bought a boot from my doctor when I went in for a foot injury (5th metatarsal avulsion fracture) they gave me a size large boot and I paid $100 for it. It was way too big but I didnโt realize until I got home and tried wearing it. It was really uncomfortable and heavy and painful to wear so I ended up trying another boot from Amazon that was better but not great for walking in so I ended up buying this in a size medium and it fits so much better and will be great for when Iโm able to bear weight again and start walking on my foot. Iโm a 10.5 womenโs and my feet are slightly narrow the medium fits with plenty of room. The velcro is really strong, especially the top strap it can be difficult to open. Overall great quality especially for the price. Too bad I canโt return the one I bought from my Dr! Save yourself some money and buy this one.UPDATE: I cannot wear this, itโs so heavy and clunky and uncomfortable to lug around like a cement block on my foot. I am not able to put weight on my foot yet so Iโve been wearing this to protect and stabilize my foot while on crutches, not bearing weight down on my foot Iโm trying to find something that will give support and stability to my fracture and itโs been really difficult to figure out. This might be ok when im able to walk again but itโs so thick that my left hip is in so much pain from having this on because of the imbalance it causes with my hips even while using crutches. These types of boots cause ankle pain on a foot that is already in pain itโs just crazy that they have to be this heavy!!! Why canโt they make them in a material that is lightweight yet sturdy?? Im going to try and get a hard sole orthopedic type of shoe and see if that helps me. this item is well made and a good price but these boots are so ridiculous I donโt know how anyone wears these.

I bought this boot at recommendation from my Doctor!!! What a great physician to recommend a boot that if insurance doesnt cover it, I can buy it for nearly $180 from them. He pulled it right up on Amazon and said โThis is what we have, its way cheaper and I even use it!โ I went home and bought it!! I was in excruciating pain from work the day it came in with Plantars Fasciitis! The worse pain Iโve had with it to date!!! I wore it to do errands and it started to feel slightly better. (Being in so much pain my knees were killing me too!!) The next day, I wore it ALL DAY from 915am-930pm. I had barely any pain at all. Just some waves here and there but nothing like on a daily basis. Anyhow, when I got home, I took off the boot, got ready for bed, I have absolutely no pain!!!! I stretched my foot, pushed in the areas that are painful, I have NO PAIN!!! whaaaaat?? I highly highly recommend this boot! Iโve never been in a boot, nor ever broken a bone (only sprained ankles, Iโm hyper mobile) so it was neat to feel what a boot feels like haha, but let me tell youโฆget it!! Donโt go pay at your doctors if insurance doesnโt pay, buy it here!!! I really wish I knew about it sooner. Doctor told me 2-4 weeks in it, but I think Iโll just play it by ear. Iโll start with just a week. Good luck to anyone whose buying this!! I hope itโs as awesome as it is for me!!?? Iโm 4โ11โ, I wear a womanโs 5.5-6. According to chart, Iโm an XS. My dr told me to get that size. When I received it, it surprisingly was small. Only by my toes slightly going over the edge. I returned it, ordered a SM and it was perfect!! So I recommend to order a size up. Thatโs the only fault that I find with the boot.
