   I wanted to get a large water bottle so that I could drink more water during the day without having to refill the bottle multiple times, and this bottle was one of the few big ones that didn’t have those annoying motivational sayings printed on the sides. Honestly, it serves its purpose well and I have been drinking more water due to the convenience, but there were a few hiccups.It did come with a strong smell, and washing it normally did not get rid of the smell at all. I tried using a water and baking soda mixture and left that soaking for 8 hours, which did lessen the smell of the plastic but did not get rid of it entirely. So finally I filled it with a white vinegar and water mixture and let that soak 24 hours, which did get rid of the plastic smell but left the vinegar smell, of course. Then I re-did the water/baking soda mixture but let it soak for 24 hours this time, and finally was able to use the water bottle without any smells.This bottle comes with two lids, one with a straw and one with an open mouth for gulping. I tried using the straw, but hated that one because the actual part of the straw that goes in your mouth is flexible silicone and I just hated that taste. Even after doing the same 2 day soak as the bottle, I just could not continue to use that. So I switched to the open mouth lid for gulping, but it was pretty awkward to use due to the size of the bottle. Eventually, I ended up buying extra-long reusable straws and sticking that into the open mouth for drinking, and that’s how I’m continuing to use it now. Not 100% perfect and not what I would recommend for people who use this bottle on the go, since I can’t close the cap with the straw in, but it works for my needs, which is keeping this bottle at my desk during work hours to stay hydrated.Also, cleaning the bottle is a little awkward due to the handle making that part of the bottle impossible to get the brush in, but I’m not sure how that could be fixed since the handle is also super convenient. Considering I’m only using this with water, it shouldn’t really be too much of an issue, but just FYI for people who might be wondering, there are some areas and curves where it is pretty much impossible to scrub with a brush. You can run soapy water through there, but that’s the extent of the cleaning those areas can get without a super thin, flexible brush (which I’ve tried to find, but doesn’t seem to exist).

   Great, great, great bottle for water. Lids seal tightly for no leaks. Lanyard and handle are both great for carrying.Not so great if you want to put something like gatorade powder in it. The bottle brush that it comes with doesn’t fit down into the handle part of the reservoir which makes cleaning more difficult. Not an issue if your just filling it with water as a quick shake with dish soap and then water rinse cleans it very well. If you use a drink powder if may start to get bad though, and difficult to clean down through the handle and the underneath surfaces. Scrubbing them is awkward.Overall great bottle for water, just less so for drink powders. Still using mine and would definitely recommend to others and get another myself when the time comes.

   If I could change something about this bottle, I would change the way the cap screws on to make it easier to pour from. I get that it’s designed for “chugging” but it’s not so easy to pour from and that’s what I want to do. Also, while pouring (or chugging) be careful to hold the lid up or it falls shut and liquid goes everywhere But where you want it to go.If AquaFit reads this, please make a bottle with the screw thread aligned so that the cap can be _poured from_!!! I don’t want to drink from this bottle directly; I want to store it in my fridge!!

   I love this jug…besides its aesthetics… it has a great easy grip handle and it’s easy to clean. It did leak a bit, but that may have been my fault for not closing the top all the way. And then… the worst happened. I was bringing in too many things from the car and the jug slipped right out of my hands. I was hoping it would bounce, but it ended up shattering on my front porch. I just ordered a replacement and will be much more careful this time!

   I love this thing. I blow through about two per day, so the markings for times are not really useful, but the bottle itself is wonderful. Love the straw cap. Love that it came with a cleaning wand.

   So far no leaks no issues easy to clean etc. I haven’t dropped it yet and it would probably withstand a fall from counter height…. But my only worry is that it could crack or somehow break if dropped just right a few times. Don’t get me wrong….. it seems sturdy enough. I also get a bunch of comments on it for how it looks. Blue on the bottom and clear on the top. I would definitely recommend.

   I really like this half gallon bottle. It does help to drink more water every day, and you don’t have to keep filling up a cup. I love the handles on the side and on the lids; very convenient. Liked it so much I bought one for my mom too and she loves it.
