I was a bit hesitant in getting this shoe because I have been wearing the Addiction shoe now for about 2-3 years. I have orthotics and so it is hard for me to find shoes that support my foot, is comfortable, and able to slide the orthotics into without difficulty. Since these are on sale, I thought I would try them. Saving about $40 per pair of shoes is a good sale in my opinion. The first thing I noticed when I got them was that these are significantly lighter than my Addiction style and so I was a bit concerned that they might not hold my foot like the Addiction. However, my orthotics slid right in, and from the minute I put the shoes on, they fit perfect. No pain, no breaking in of the shoe, they are just comfortable! Lots of room in the toe box, no slipping on the heel, they seem to have a good padding. I could not ask for a better shoe! I have just ordered another pair before the sale goes off in a slightly different color. The pattern I really wanted was sold out, but hey, for the price and the fit/comfort, I’ll find a pattern I like as there are many to choose from.

I have two pairs of these shoes. They are comfortable. I bought the first pair before going on a two week vacation in Europe where I knew I was going to walk a lot. The shoes worked great, and my feet were not hurting from a lot of walking.I wear size US 8.5 wide in regular shoes.I bought my first pair in 8.5 wide. It turned out to be about 1/4 inch longer than my actual foot. So this particular brand or shoe type runs a bit bigger than your regular shoe size.I bought another pair in 8 wide, and it fit me better. The width fit me great in both shoes. My actual foot from the heel to the end of the longest toe measures 250mm(25cm). I know that because I measured it for ski boot sizing which is in cm.Here are the various sizes for the two pairs of women’s Brooks Ghost 14 shoes.Width: Wide/DUS 8Euro 39UK 6CM 25 (centimeters)US 8.5Euro 40UK 6.5CM 25.5 (centimeters)

I have been wearing Ghost’s for years now and the quality is superb with every new pair I buy. Tried Asics but they don’t even compare to these. I wear mine when I will be doing a lot of walking or at work. (I use my old pairs for yard work.) I cannot even describe how fantastic these shoes are. You feel like you are walking/running on clouds with minimum impact on your back, legs and feet. And they make you walk/run faster w/o even realizing it.Typically, I am a size 6, but for these shoes, I am a size 7. I sized up due to the semi-point toe these shoes have. Even the 6.5’s are to tight in the toe area. I would recommend going to Academy to test the fit first, then buying online for the style/colors.

I started road running this year but when the cold weather hit in NY I realized I am a warmer weather runner (spring, summer and early fall) and was forced to the treadmill. My calfs and ankles were burning from lack of support when running in my current sneakers on the tread. Purchased these with hope the pain would stop and they certainly gave me the added support I needed to run indoors

I have Rheumatoid arthritis plus back problems consisting of spinal stenosis and spondylitis and also heel spurs and fasciaitis. I also have very narrow feet, particularly my heels. I must have a narrow size or I walk right out of a shoe. I’ve been wearing the Ghost 13 in a size 9N for a couple years. I add a heel pad insert for added comfort. Ghost 13 is the only neutral shoe that doesn’t make my back hurt worse and that doesn’t rub my arthritic feet in the wrong places. I used to wear New Balance but the quality and fit has declined. I love the Brooks, however, it appears they are fazing out their narrow width for women. It’s getting very hard to find a neutral shoe that is comfortable that comes in a narrow size which doesn’t make sense. I guess they think people with skinny feet are supposed to go barefoot. Lol! Whenever I see the Ghost 14 in my size I snatch it up.

The GHOST style of shoes has a slightly larger toe box to accommodate gnarled-up toes and spreading feet. I can actually wear these shoes without added insoles or cushioning. We live in an area of sand and granite. For that reason I would prefer a closed fabric top rather than the mesh that’s used on these shoes. However, the mesh makes the shoes more accommodating to my feet. Aside from that, I am thrilled with these shoes. The other reason these shoes are more comfortable than the brand I’ve worn for many years is the positioning of where the shoes lace up. It is moved higher on the shoe so that the top of my toes aren’t rubbing on the tongue stitching. Wonderful! Now I’m looking for more colors.

I do A Lot of research before I make a purchase. I kept reading that the Brooks Ghost 14 was a good, comfortable shoe but multiple reviews mentioned a narrow toe box. I hesitantly ordered them and am so glad I did. I have several other brands of gym shoes in a size 8W and these fit the same. They’re super comfortable and look good. This will be a brand I stick with.
