I originally bought this for my nephew as a birthday gift, but when it came in, I ordered him something different. The box it came in, the bottom kind of broke so when I took it out of the shipping box and grabbed the box it came in, the bag that was holding everything slid out. Since it was out, I went ahead and took it out. The bow is really easy to put together and assembling it was fairly easily. I did look at the picture and instructions that it came with to make sure I had it put together. It does come with 2 targets but since using this, I bought more targets. Since I still had some moving boxes, I made a make shift target box but made sure that it was filled with other broken down boxes inside so the arrows wouldn’t go through. What I found is that the arrows are blunt, but when shot, they will actually go through several layers of carboard fairly easily. I was able to briefly take a archery class at the local college but with covid, it was canceled. The bow that was supplied to us is very similar to this bow in the fact that it is a good size for an adult as well. I like that this does come with a wrist guard because the string does hurt when it comes back and hits you. With this guard, you can hear the string hit it but you don’t feel anything but a little vibration from the string hitting. This whole kit is very lifelike to using real arrows, but great for practicing. However, if you are using cardboard, I used about 30-40 layers and it went through about 1/3 of those layers and still stays in. This whole kit is by no means cheap. What’s nice is that you’re able to take the bow apart and store it inside the bag it came with. The arrows fit with the bow too. The one thing I’m really shocked are the arrows. They will actually go almost the full length of my backyard. I was thinking it would be more like a toy bow and arrow set but this is not the case. This setup is very similar to an actual bow and arrow setup that you would use either professionally or for hunting. Really great for practicing but do be careful when using. I did accidentally hit my wooden fence and while the arrow had nothing wrong with it, it did partially break a board. Really great set and perfect for beginners like myself.

Edit: The seller reached out to me a couple weeks ago. They explained that the flaw had been identified and has been corrected with this bow. I was offered a replacement item or a refund via Amazon GC. As I had already purchased a new bow, I opted for the GC and it was quickly sent.I’m impressed with the ownership and response time from the seller. Not something you usually see.This was a Christmas gift for my son. He only had the opportunity to use it within the last couple weeks due to weather and only shooting at an outdoor archery range.The arrows it comes with are a joke. Absolutely not worth it. Nothing is more discouraging to a beginning archer than to watch arrows *bounce* off a target.So, bought some new arrows. Boys (both my sons share it at the range) start enjoying shooting with actual arrows, as their shots actually stick in the target.However, 4th outing out, the upper bow limb snapped. Total time in use? Less than 5 hours at the range in 3 weeks.

This was a gift for my nephew’s 9th birthday. He was so excited and it is a great size for him. A bit small for adult use, but perfect for his size. It was easy to use and assemble. Loved that it was all black (his favorite color ;). So much fun!!

We got this for our kids, but it is impressively good quality and I have enjoyed playing with it almost as much as they have. Very easy to assemble, the arrows have so far been sturdy, and I love that they sent a little gauntlet to protect my kiddos arms.
